The Mako™ Shaker was designed as an alternative way to cap a 28oz shakers. It resembles a 28oz shaker and actually holding 29oz of liquid. The unique feature of this shaker is that its flared end for capping, which makes a 28oz shaker into a cheater tin. We also offer this item with our Vinylworks coating for grip and color.
Deciding on the right shaker tin is a personal matter, and you are sure to become comfortable with any type you choose. If your concern is spill-free ease of use, a three piece shaker may be your solution. For experienced bartenders who might be looking for rapid application, a 2-piece system of capping a small shaker or mixing glass is common, as is simply using a single tin for mixing and a wire strainer while pouring. 2-piece shakers can come as a set, and so often having a matching look is a large consideration. If you want a bit of flair and ease of grip, you may want to see a vinyl-coated shaker. Choosing metal or plastic is a factor when budgets and showmanship of both professionals and beginners are important factors.
Note: This item pairs with our regular 28oz stainless steel, vinyl and neon shakers. Not recommended for use with other customizable shakers.
