This absinthe glass is an exact replica (except for the facet cuts around the sides) of the legendary Pontarlier Glass that was originally named after it appeared in an advertisement for the absinthe producer “Pernod Fils.” It was featured in its hometown newspaper of Pontarlier.
With the same proportions as the original, this is one of the most common glasses found among absinthe enthusiasts. The “doser” is the mouth blown reservoir that measures the amount of absinthe for this size glass. A “dose” of absinthe is typically 1 ounce or 30ml.
